2020 Christmas in the Park
August 6, 2020
Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is with very sad hearts that we must announce the Cancellation of the 2020 Christmas in the Park that was set to take place on November 28, 2020. This will also include cancelling the train and trolley rides through the Park during the month of December. After hours of deliberation and discussions with our City Council it has been decided that because of COVID-19 and the inability to truly “social distance” in a festival setting, we can in no way take a chance of potentially endangering the health and wellbeing of our patrons, vendors, staff and community.
With that being said, we WILL STILL BE DECORATING THE PARK WITH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AND DECORATIONS! The Park has even been expanded to include a large area on the west side of Marvin Hancock Drive. We encourage you to come walk the Park at your leisure any day of the week beginning Thanksgiving Weekend to enjoy the beautiful Park and Christmas lights. This year’s festival may be cancelled, but Christmas is still alive and well and worthy of celebrating!
This was to be our 10th Anniversary and we had huge plans for this year’s celebration. But we are already set to hold our next Christmas in the Park on November 27, 2021. Plans are in the making and entertainment has already been scheduled. Next year’s celebration will be big, big, BIG! So, don’t miss it!
